The direction and braking indication system has light bars of 5-8 cm width integrated into the body at the front and rear of the motor vehicle that include round lateral body elements to a slight extent. A light chain is installed in each light bar that causes a sequence of lights to run continuously from the center outwards if the flasher lever is operated to indicate a change of direction and that are also used to indicate severe braking with an out and back illumination sequence.
