The roll (5) for actuating valve lift is mounted on an axle (4) connected to a guide lever (10) which determines the movement path for this axle. The valve is connected to the roll via an intermediate lever (3) and this roll is driven by a cam on a camshaft (7). A work curve for the intermediate lever during lift adjustment is defined by a second roll (8) in contact with this lever. The second roll is in contact with an adjustable position adjustment part.
