Loose carbon black particles (I), for blending into a polymer matrix, comprise a mixture of (a) carbon black and (b) cellulosic material, specifically selected from cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, chemo-thermomechanical pulp (CTMP), thermomechanical pulp (TMP), wood fibers and/or plant fibers. An independent claim is also included for the preparation of (I).
