摘要
The cylinders are arranged in two opposing circular rings and the pistons in the opposing rings are joined via a rigid connecting rod in order to form a double piston with a common connecting rod. A sine plate formed by a disc with sinoidal protrusions is mounted in the centre of the rings and the edge of this plate is guided by rolls mounted on the connecting rod so that axial movement of the pistons is converted into rotation of the plate and one of these rolls is placed under load in each connecting rod movement direction. The engine operates according to a two-stroke Boxer engine principle. The valves mounted on the cylinder periphery so that the base of the piston is in contact with the bottom side of the inlet valve when the piston is in the lower deadpoint position. The inlet valves are located around the inner periphery of the engine block ring and the outlet valves on the outer periphery. The valves are rectangular and each one comprises almost half ! the cylinder periphery. The outlet valve is located closer to the cylinder head so that it does not obstruct passage of the piston towards its lower deadpoint position. The valves are controlled via tilt levers by guides on the connecting rods. Fuel injection is preferably achieved using piezo-valves on a common rail system.
