The structure has a flat base unit that is stiffened by side units (14, 16) and cross units to obtain a deformation-resistant and crash-resistant car body. A tubular anti-roll bar (28) is decoupled from the cross units, and interacts with deformation units (30) that are placed in the respective side units on both sides of the structure. The anti-roll bar is tubular and positioned within the cross units.
