The switch has a plastic housing, which is placed within a digital satellite receiver. The switch is activated by pressing a push button on a remote control, when the receiver is in a stand-by mode, to switch an IDE interface between the receiver and a computer for switching a hard disk from the receiver to the computer. The data stored in the hard disk are transferred via e.g. USB, to the computer and vice-versa.
