Metal mold filling assembly, using smelting furnaces to give different alloys, has heavy duty robots to tilt molds around five axes for different types taken from the feed belt and passed to the take-off belt after filling

For filling and manipulating molds, at a smelting furnace, two heavy duty robots (1,2) are used together with feed (3) and take-off (4) belts each forming continuous loops. A robot takes a mold from the feed belt to one of the dosing smelting furnaces (5-7) according to the programmed alloy material required, and when filled it is placed on the take-off belt for cooling. The mold is carried to a removal station (8), where the second robot opens the mold and removes the casting for further processing, and the mold is prepared for further use. The robot tilts the mold around two or more swing axes during or after filling with molten metal.
