The air spring unit has a U-bellows (1) installed on a base element (5) and which rolls over a roll component (3,4) fixed on the base element during spring compression and extension. The roll component consists of several segments which are fixed on the base element. The segments encompass the base element over a part of its circumference. The segments are constructed as especially half-shells and have side edges constructed parallel to the spring direction.
