Motor vehicle uses gearbox controller for inhibiting or enabling driving, whereby inhibiting and enabling mode results from signal representing measure of engine revolution rate
The motor vehicle has an automatic gearbox (4) with an internal controller (6) and a theft protection system with an immobilizer function for inhibiting or enabling driving via a controller on the vehicle side. The controller for inhibiting or enabling driving is the gearbox controller, whereby the inhibiting and enabling mode results from a signal representing a measure of the engine revolution rate. The revolution rate of a turbine (15) driven by the engine (3) and associated with the gearbox is detected and processed as the signal.
