The seal for expansion joint in construction structures, especially the parking decks of multi-story car parks, has an expansion unit inserted into the joint (22) between concrete slabs (20,21) under the seal and driving surface (30,31), bonded at both edges by loose flanges and/or a strand of foam material (5) is inserted under the seal (7) formed into a loop (35). The upper end of the joint is widened into a funnel-shaped expansion (33).
