A substrate (6) has concave portion comprising of electrolyte element (3) with electrodes (4,5) at its respective lower and upper surfaces. The fluid flow paths (8,9) formed at lower and upper surfaces of convex portion respectively, are connected by respective wiring conductors (10,11). The conductor (10) of a unit (13) is connected to conductor (11) of another unit, to adjoin adjacent convex portions. An independent claim is also included for fuel cell.
