The profiled metal sheet (1-3) has one upwards projecting flange (1a-3a) and one downwards projecting flange (1b-3b) for use in a cover system for sloping roofs or walls. The profiled metal sheet is positioned on a sloping roof with the downwards projecting flange further down on the inclination than the upwards projecting flange, whereby the downwards projecting flange is fastened on a substructure (4) of the roof, and whereby the downwards projecting flange can be brought into engagement with the upwards projecting flange of another profiled metal sheet. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a cover system for inclined roofs or walls with at least two of the aforesaid profiled metal sheets; (B) a building with a sloping roof and/or a wall with a number of profiled metal sheets; and (C) a method for the assembly of a cover system for sloping roofs or walls with at least two profiled metal sheets.
