The system has an elongated metal support (1) fixed on an external primary framework of a building for installing insulating material sheets (N1, N2). The support is covered by a profile (7) that is made of thermally insulating material i.e. plastic material. The profile comprises a flange (9) projecting to a border of the insulating material sheets. A clamping section (13) is fixed on an edge of the flange of the profile, where the clamping section is extended to sides of the flange tighten the insulating material sheets adjacent with the flange. An independent claim is also included for a device for fastening insulating material sheets on an external primary framework of a building.
