A transformer head in which a extended primary conductor is provided and is inductively coupled, especially weakly coupled, with which the transmission head is movable relative along the length of the primary conductor and in which the transformer head comprises at least one secondary winding, in which a first magnetic circuit encloses the primary conductor and also comprises parts of the transformer, such as regions of the magnetic core around which the secondary winding is wound, and in which a second magnetic circuit only comprises with the transformer head co-movable parts, such as zones of a magnetic circuit, in which the second magnetic circuit is saturated at nominal working but the first circuit is not yet saturated. An independent claim is included for a system for contactless energy transmission.
