Image processing method for reducing jagged edge effects in an image output device involves low-pass filtering of a true halftone image, determination of a key point and production of a corresponding display movement vector
Image processing method for reducing jag effects is used in an image output device. According to the method, a true halftone image is first produced and halftone pixels fixed in a first address space. A halftone image is then produced. The true halftone image is low-pass filtered. Addresses of pixels whose densities correspond to a predefined density are determined. These addresses correspond to a key point for which a movement vector is produced in order to regulate the position of a display point of a halftone pixel. After regulating, the display point is output.
