The power supply voltage supplied to a CPU is converted from normal level to idle level in an idle mode. The CPU is operated at low operation speed based on comparison of operation speed with predetermined speed in normal mode until power supply voltage having idle level is increased to normal level. An independent claim is also included for processor system.
