An electrically powered vehicle can be driven stable. To this end, the invention comprises an electric generator target torque calculation processing means, a first acceptance processing means for calculating an inertia correction acceptance value, a second acceptance processing means for calculating an integral term correction assumption value, an acceptance mode switching condition judgment processing means and a drive motor target torque calculation processing means. When an acceptance mode switching condition is established, the drive motor target torque calculation processing means switches a first acceptance mode for calculating a target engine torque based on the inertia correction assumption value and a second acceptance mode for calculating the target engine torque based on the integral term correction assumption value. When the acceptance mode switching condition is established, the first acceptance mode and the second acceptance mode are switched so that the drive motor target torque is calculated based on the integral term correction assumption value.
