The motor (10) is especially a brushless or electronically commutated electric motor with a rotor, a stator enclosing the rotor and a carrier with at least one flange region. The carrier is a flange plate connected to the end of the stator. A further flange plate on the other end of the stator has at least one flange region. The stator and flange plates are connected by a first connecting element. The outer stator profile corresponds to the outer flange plate profiles to give a compact, outwardly closed motor unit.
