The case (1) is assembled of a deep lower shell (3) and a more shallow upper shell (2), both joined with hinges. The edges of the upper (2), the lower shell (3) respectively, are surrounded by metal profiles hidden behind convex plastic covers (6, 8). U-shaped handles (12) are accommodated in lateral recesses (28) and swivel mounted to the material. The components of the front lock (10, 13) are also located inside a recess. All corners (21) are rounded and the surfaces of the shells (2, 3) provided with ribs (20, 26) and other elevations and depressions (22) in order to increase the stability of the case (1).
