The press has a cylindrical worm shaft to move a suspension along a cylindrical filter surface to an outlet, where the solid is extracted. The filtered matter drains via a socket. Worm shaft (10) and filter tube (3) are positioned vertical in a housing (1). The shaft has at least two spirals with a pitch of 40-50[deg]. Suspension intake is at the lower end of the shaft via a vortex chamber (20) with feed socket (22). The lower end of the shaft projects into the chamber. The solids are ejected at the top end of the shaft. The suspension is supplied so as to fill only about 1/3 of the filter chamber (4). Supply is from a storage container and/or via a pump.
