Bag (1) for packaging snack products is rectangular and is formed by sealing a packaging film in the longitudinal and transverse directions. A tear-off strip (2') incorporated along one edge (2) of the bag allows defined opening of the entire edge. Two edge corners (4'') defining positioning corners of the bag are arranged on the edge (3) lying opposite the edge with the tear-off strip.
