The packing container of plastic film for the packing of flexible household articles, especially hygiene articles such as rolls of toilet paper, has a sleeve-form side wall (1) which in its dimensions in the circumferential direction is enlarged beyond the size required for the packing space. The side wall by the forming of a longitudinal fold (5) fixed by a longitudinal seam (4) is made smaller to the size required for the packing space. A grip opening (6) is formed in the region of longitudinal fold.
