The lining comprises fleece-lined sealing panels (5) of plastics which engage by touch and close fastening onto burr strip fastening elements (4) provided on the inside of the large tank (1). The sealing panels are connected such as welded together in watertight manner. The sealing panels can overlap and can have ventilation valves (13).
