A display housing with continuous surface-mounted front is fabricated as a frame and/or covering housing made from single- and/or multi-part metal- and/or plastic plates and/or moldings. The plates and/or moldings are screwed to one another and/or welded and the front is designed as a filter glass panel and is smaller in its outer dimensions than the display housing, which is joined to the filter glass panel, and in which the filter glass panel is arranged on the front face of the display housing.
