The seat has a vertically and adjustably arranged head supporting part (1) fastened in a backrest. The part has a center unit and side panels (3, 4) for protection of a head of a child against side collision. One of the side panels is arranged at a window side of a vehicle. The panels are tilted into protection position from where the child looks through a window and are restored to usage position by application of forces on the panels.
