The press tool (P) has a pair of jaws (1) pivoting on pins (4) engaging on a strap (5) on either side. The tail ends of the jaws (10) have angled surfaces pushed apart by rollers (11) on a pushrod (2). The press jaws (9) are forced together as the tail ends are pushed apart. The press jaws have semicircular recesses (12) with arcuate press tools (13) defining a workpiece pressing aperture (16). The press tools are held in position by screws with washers (18) and lugs (14) on the jaws. The ends of the jaws are at an angle to the pivot region (8) of the jaws.
