Clamping parts of each pair of sequential contacts in a contact row are arranged in different planes. The contact arms of the contacts of the contact row have their contact zones in the same plane. Preferably, every second contact in a contact row is deformed so that the clamping part of all contacts is alternately in one of two different planes. An independent claim is included for an further electrical connector.
