A hand-cranked automotive window winding mechanism raises and lowers the window via a cable and pulleys. The cable runs over a pick-up with a ball pin operated position-adjustment unit. The sliding bolt is located in an elongated hole in the pickup base-plate (2) and secured by a locking catch.
