The radar system comprises a network of three or more radar units (2) for producing information signals within an air space (4), and a missile with a receiver for acquiring the information signals delivered by the radar units. The missile contains processing units for calculating its position within the space by determining its distance from each radar unit. The radar units each have means for following one or more targets (6) within the space using information signals emitted by the radar units and reflected by the targets. Preferred Features: Signals emitted from the radar units are frequency- or phase-coded to be differentiated. The information signals are present as impulse signals or continuous wave signals.
