The invention concerns a polymerisation method by dielectric heating of unsaturated fatty acids, unsaturated fatty acid esters, unsaturated hydrocarbons, or unsaturated derivatives of said products, and the resulting polymers and uses of said polymers. The inventive polymerisation method is characterised in that the reagent or reaction medium is subjected to dielectric heating, that is under frequencies ranging between about 30 GHz and about 3 MHz (radio frequencies or microwaves) to perform polymerisation; it is carried out with or without catalysts; the reagents are fatty acids, fatty acid esters, vegetable or animal oils, hydrocarbons such as polyterpenes or polyisobutene, or still with derivatives of said products, comprising at least an unsaturation, used on their own or mixed.
