PROCESS FOR THE RECOVERY OF HIGH-FURNACE GAS AND ITS USE FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF THE CAST IRON

The recuperation of blast furnace gas, in which the gases from the blast furnace are recovered, the carbon dioxide present in the gas is at least partially withdrawn during a first stage of carbon dioxide purification in a manner to create a blast furnace gas poor in carbon dioxide, the gas being either re-injected into the blast furnace, or recuperated and sent towards another point of use, after purification. After this first stage of carbon dioxide purification, it is provided with a second stage of purification of a substantial quantity of the nitrogen contained in the gas, in a manner to recuperate an enriched gas, before re-injection or recuperation to another point of use, for which the nitrogen content is less than 10 % by volume and preferably less than 5 % vol.
