The sole (1) has a transversal front unit (2) that is provided with lateral flanges (2b, 2c) whose configuration resembles metatarsal heads. The front unit is elastically deformable, and produces a spring effect at the level of flanges for reforming the front arch every time the foot is pressed. The unit has a metallic strip that extends partly in each flange and produces the spring effect.
