The process involves storing in a mobile terminal (2) a list of networks to be searched in a preferential manner and the value of duration (Dr), at the end of which the terminal is authorized to search one networks from the list. The duration is dynamically controlled depending on a visited public land mobile network (V-PLMN). The mobile terminal transmits an inscription request to the V-PLM network. An independent claim is also included for a mobile terminal with international or national roaming between a home public land mobile network (H-PLMN) and a V-PLM network.
