The chamber (7) has a piston (5) provided to slide with an alternative movement in a cylinder (2) of an internal combustion engine. The chamber is approximately in the shape of a bowl whose peripheral volume (70) is formed in a casing (1) of the cylinder. The volume is formed by a rectangular shoulder (10). The volume is formed opposite to a cylinder head, and opens inside the cylinder.
