The kiosk (1) consists of a first module (3) forming a fixed shelter, and a second one (4) with a display section (5) that can move relative to the first one between retracted and deployed positions. The second module has a roof (12) to shelter its display section and is able to slide relative to the first module in a direction perpendicular to its facade (2). In the retracted position the second module is enclosed completely within the first one; it forms at least part of the facade of the kiosk and enables it to be shut up.
