Percolation and insurance of copyright and intellectual property rights, whereby a digital file is created comprising identification information relating to the rights and stored in a central server. The owner of the rights is then informed by conventional mail that such a process has been carried out with identification details listed. An insurance policy is generated and percolation corresponding to 13 percent or more of the total collection of intellectual rights and copyrights is created.
