The circuit has a switching unit control device (6) to regulate lighting of a lamp by adjusting power from an AC/DC conversion circuit (3). An AC transformer (7) has primary and secondary circuits (7p, 7s) isolated from one another. A lighting signal provided by the transformer is superimposed on an output signal that has undergone the AC conversion, to produce a resultant signal that is sent to the lamp.
