The process involves projecting water to form a water curtain in upstream and downstream of a fire protection fence. The water falls down on the ground and leads to the flooding of combustible parts and forms a barrier that is insurmountable by flames. The fence has posts equipped with perforations and directable and adjustable nozzles (8). The nozzles have step adjustment to regulate flow and pressure of the water. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a process of protecting houses and other premises against a forest fire.
