The method involves analyzing an input video flow (2) to generate a main modified flow (5) having an input video flow format, and complementary information (4) permitting a reconstruction of the input video, before transmitting the input video flow to a client equipment. The main modified flow and complementary information are transmitted separately from a server (6) towards the equipment, during a distribution phase. An independent claim is also included for a video flow creating system for implementing a method of secured distribution of video sequences according to a digital flow format based on a discrete cosine transform (DCT).
