The method involves measuring a voltage of a direct current motor that drives a mobile unit. An electrical circuit of the motor is supplied with a continuous voltage from a generator (ALIM) and successively short-circuited, according to a temporal event, when the measured voltage is lower than a preset voltage. The motor circuit is left open when the measured voltage is higher than the preset voltage. An independent claim is also included for a home automation device.
