The castor has a bearing wall portion with a tenon (33) secured to a base. Two oblong holes (51, 52) are formed in two limbs and a third oblong hole (54) is formed in the tenon. Holes are arranged in the limbs and tenon such that the holes are centered on an axis (53) when the tenon is engaged in a slot. A friction shoe is interposed between a spring (63) and a shaft that passes through a bearing wall.
