The method involves single-sided tensioning and rotating a shaft (7) in a clamping unit (2) and setting the shaft in a desired angular position. A heated joining section (16) is received by a gripper (19) of a joining unit (8) and positioned at a predetermined location on the shaft. The joining section is pre-positioned in a bore hole at a free end of the shaft, and center points (15) are concentrically arranged with each other by immersion of the shaft in the bore hole of the joining portion and the shaft. A compensating element is provided at the gripper. An independent claim is also included for a device for performing a method for manufacturing a joint connection of a hole.
