The process involves effecting a double operation of displacement of a finger on the surface of a scrolling sensor. The finger is displaced forward in one direction and backward in the reverse direction. An image of the finger is reconstructed for each of the directions. The difference between the images obtained in the directions is verified if it corresponds to normal image deformation due to natural plasticity of the skin of finger.
