The device has a cylindrical body (23) displaced under the effect of impact undergone by a motor vehicle to decrease pressure in an assembly formed by a master cylinder (2), brake pedal, pipes, ABS control valve and brakes. The body is housed partially inside the cylinder. The body has an end (24) situated outside the cylinder and an end (25) connected to the cylinder through an air duct seal (27).
