The apparatus has an open carrier (4) with tripod rollers (8a, 8b, 9a, 9b) sliding in guide rails of two cradles (5, 7) constituted by telescopic rails. The cradle (5) supports a handling transporter (6) having telescopic booms (25a, 25b) and is fastened on a bar of a vehicle. A winch (23) actuates a rope (30) for load handling or for tilting the open carrier to unload loads behind the vehicle.
