The method involves creating requirements during creation of components of a UML model. Requirements in the model are exported to UML requirements management tool (2) when the model is stabilized. A navigation model containing all UML objects pointed by requirements and a requirements module of a level are automatically created. The requirements module is linked to another requirements module of an upstream level.
