The unit has main body with a fluid inlet connection (110) to connect the unit to a fluid distribution outlet and a fluid outlet connection (120) to connect the unit to a rotameter (200). Fluid pressure reduction units such as a piston (131) and a valve (134), are disposed between the fluid inlet and outlet connections coaxially to the fluid flow direction (A) in an internal fluid passage that connects the inlet and outlet connections. An independent claim is also included for utilization of the connection unit at the time of fluid e.g. medical gas, distribution operation.
