The method involves detecting acceleration or deceleration of a telephone, when a user picks up a handset of the telephone for responding to a call (7), by an accelerometer (3). The acceleration is compared with a reference value (5) using an electronic control circuit (1). The control circuit sends an electric signal to pickup the call when the acceleration reaches the reference value, in case of reception of the call.
