The system has information processing units (3) to calculate brake set point information of wheels of a motor vehicle. The units have a unit (7) common to all wheels to establish braking force set point information for each wheel. The units have a unit (8) processing information specific to each wheel to control in closed loop the operation of a braking system (6) corresponding to each wheel. The operation of the braking system is controlled in the closed loop using corresponding brake set point information and pneumatic force information given by sensors (4).
