Fabric flocking procedure uses flock box divided into sections for flocking with different colours in a single operation

The procedure, in which flock fibres are projected onto fabric to produce a pile, uses a flock box that is divided into compartments (3) by partitions (1) allowing fibres of different colours to be applied in a single operation. The partitions can be made from any sufficiently rigid material and used in different numbers and spacing according to the different colour requirements. They are fitted vertically across the flocking brush (2) before the operation is begun. The bottom of each partition is shaped to fit over the brush while leaving a clearance that allows the brush to rotate and ensures a gradation of the colours.
